I came out angrily and saw no light in the lane. Sweat was popping out on his face, and his whole body was all but soaked with his sweet. I calmed myself, torched from my handset. Two more people from there joined us. I tried differently but failed. They had also given their efforts but unsucceeded, and one of them announced: “impossible”. I got an idea and shared it with the undergraduate boy after they left, “Okay, we may pass it over the tin-shade house.”, I said. He agreed with me. I went up on the top of the tin-shade house, and he lifted the chair upward. I took it and moved a little forward where I could place the chair into. I saw the chair couldn’t be put down. Then he instructed me to lose the house-tin, and so did I, and we got succeeded.

Egg Price Skyrocketed in Bangladesh

Solution: Avoid consuming eggs for minimum 2 weeks

One dozen hen eggs are sold in Bangladesh at 156 takas, per egg 13 Tk., just in comparison to one week, an egg consumer has to pay extra 3 takas per egg though it was 180 Tk. a dozen eggs according to the Financial Express report, Sunday (14 July 2022).

Bangladesh has to not import eggs, but its price has soared more than 25% from the regular prices. The government's excuse is global inflation. Right, they said. Now back to the US. Hen’s eggs have skyrocketed up to 47% in the US. That happened for one of the worst bird flu outbreaks in US history that killed more than 30 million commercial and wild birds. Reports by Bloomberg, “Egg prices in US jump 47% as food inflation hits”.

Now the question is, “Does Bangladesh import hens or eggs of hens? or any worst bird flu outbreaks occurred in the country like the US that suffered egg-laying hens to produce eggs as usual?”. If not so, why the egg prices have skyrocketed? Doing so, what does the ruling government want-troubling ordinary consumers or generating an artificial crisis in the national economy?

I stopped my writing till that. I rushed to 3 meal service small restaurants: one has not cooked eggs for two days because of the rising price hike while the rest is serving each egg at 25 Tk. And asked one wholesale eggs grocery what the price is. He replied 150 takas for a dozen eggs.

According to market insiders (traders/businessmen), declining production, raising fuel prices and market syndication are the three key factors behind the unexpected price hikes in eggs just in a week.

Straight talk to all prospective egg consumers: Avoid eggs at least for 2 weeks if possible. You’ll not die, I bet. Prices are bound to downward. There is a correlation between production and consumption which means buying and selling. The fact is eggs are perishable and can’t be stored for more than 7 to 10 days.
